A small team that runs on AI
Matthew Online is a YouTube channel with 48,000 subscribers and a set of paid courses that teach people how to make money with AI. We publish long form YouTube videos every week and film course lessons in batches.
Most of the editing is already automated. When a recording finishes, our Claude Code pipeline removes the pauses and the bad takes, writes the transcript, adds captions, title cards and diagrams, and exports a draft plus a Premiere Pro sequence. What it cannot do reliably is watch the video like a viewer would. That is the job.
The role
What you will do
- Watch every AI draft end to end at normal speed, usually 2 YouTube videos and a handful of course lessons a week.
- Catch every mistake: a repeated line or a bad take left in, a cut in the middle of a word, a caption that is misspelt or out of sync, a black frame, an audio pop or dropout, a diagram that says the wrong thing, anything private showing on screen.
- Fix it. Small fixes yourself in Premiere Pro. Bigger or repeated fixes by instructing Claude Code, which re-renders the section for you.
- Log what you found in our QC checklist, so the pipeline gets better and the same mistake stops happening.
- Ship it: export, upload to YouTube or the course platform, set the title, description, chapters, thumbnail and end screen from the brief, and schedule it.
You will not be cutting videos from scratch, designing thumbnails or writing scripts. The creative work is done before it gets to you. Your job is that the finished video is right.
Time and pay
How much of your week it takes
- 8 to 10 hours a week, on your own schedule, with a 24 hour turnaround on each video.
- Paid monthly by Wise or bank transfer, rate depending on experience.
- We start with one paid trial video ($50). If it goes well you move onto a monthly retainer.
- Long term, reliable people get more work. We are building a team, not hiring for a one off.
Who we are looking for
What you need
- Obsessive attention to detail. This is the whole job. Everything else can be taught.
- Hands on with Claude Code. You have used it in a terminal to do real work, not just chatted with Claude in a browser. Experience with other AI editing tools is a bonus.
- Adobe Premiere Pro. You can trim, fix captions, swap a clip, and export without a tutorial.
- At least one year editing or reviewing YouTube videos, for yourself or for clients. Show us your work.
- Fluent written English. Captions have to be spelt right.
- Reliability. You say when something will be done and it is done then. If something slips, you tell us before the deadline, not after.
Nice to have: you know YouTube Studio well, you have used Descript, or you have worked with a creator in the AI or business niche before.

Find the mistakes in this clip
Below is 60 seconds from one of our real videos. We deliberately put some mistakes in it. Watch it carefully, with sound on, and write down every mistake you find with its timestamp. We are not telling you how many there are.
Tip: the best candidates do not just list the problem, they say how they would fix it.
How to apply

- Watch the test clip above and list every mistake you find, with a timestamp and how you would fix it.
- Record a Loom video, 2 to 4 minutes, camera on. Introduce yourself, then share your screen and walk us through the mistakes you found. At the very end of the Loom, say the word you put in your subject line.
- Include one or two links to videos you have edited or reviewed, and one sentence on something you have used Claude Code for.
